from my first party…

April 21, 2009

party-1-on-april-5th-004This is the card that was made for my very first party as a demonstrator. It threw all those who know me cos it isn’t PINK and frilly!!!! It’s is self explanatory, the set is Pick a Petal, the inks are SU’s  riding hood red and chocolate chip as is the card stock. A few of the circles I have covered with crystal effects as well as the brown half cirlcle for the flower centre. To thread the ribbon through I used the double rectangle punch. The chocolate chip card that is matting the sanded background stamp has been versa marked with the ‘dotty’ stamp out of the Big Bold Birthday stamp set. The petals’ chocolate chip outlines were helped out with the stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement over the red spotted petals. I asked the guests to stamp and extra 2 petals and showed them that they could make a sweet little ladybug with the addition of 2 brown circles with 1 cut in half for the head and the whole 1 for the body…draw in some antennae and there she is one very cutesy ladybug!!!

cute little ladybug hey??

we also had a play colouring in some of the images from Fun and Fast Notes, using whatever method they chose to colour with, then we mounted them for use as a quick little card to add to a hand picked bouquet of garden flowers to share the love with a friend.

…thanks for dropping by, Sally x

I so totally loved this card when I first saw it at Kirsty’s home. I love spots and dots. It’s great to see this set used well. I got one but I hardly ever use it. You certainly gave all your guests lots of stampin’ fun!!!
