happy birthday Mike…

June 6, 2010

This is a different card I recently made for my son-in-law, Mike, it’s a flat card, meaning it does not open. I have used the Big Shot and the Stampin’ Up Top Note to make a pocket for a gift card and mounted it onto a rectangular piece of complimentary card stock. The gift card is held in place with the silver clip out of the Clips Assortment, and the sides of the pocket are secured with pewter Jumbo Eyelets tied with a blue ribbon. I stamped the flower image (out of the No One Like You card kit) onto Naturals Ivory cardstock in Baja Breeze ink and clear embossed it, trimmed closely around the image and set it on the front of the Top Note pocket with a Stampin’ Dimensional for a little bit of height and tucked a few leaves under it. The leaves are made with the Stampin’ Up Little Leave Sizzlit Die run through my Big Shot. I also used one of the tags from the Sizzlits 4-Pack Lots of Tags for the Teeny Tiny Sentiments ‘happy birthday’ and secured it in place with a pewter Vintage brad. The cardstock is from the Parisian Breeze Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Spring mini. I love the texture of the specialty papers, they add so much interest to any creation. Happy Birthday Mike!!

love Sally xx
